More about Daniel

Septi invited me to teach when many of his students had become too strong and needed a more advanced coach. The National Master title I earned six years ago qualifies me to teach chess at a very high level.
I have been part of Sep7Ro for over a year, working with students who have reached a level advanced enough to take chess seriously and strive for performance. Previously, I taught both in schools in Bucharest and online to Romanian children in the diaspora, but what I love about Sep7Ro is that the students come motivated and eager to learn. Most of them are intermediate or advanced and practice on their own between weekly lessons. It’s truly a pleasure to teach children who genuinely want to progress.
I also enjoy teaching some classes in English, so Romanian students improve their English at the same time, while in other classes I teach in Romanian to diaspora students, helping them strengthen their Romanian language skills. For me, chess is not just a game; it’s also a way to inspire students through my dedication. The only thing that can disappoint me is when a student misses a lesson, because I know how important consistency is in chess.
Besides playing competitive chess, where I also hold the title of National Master, I enjoy staying active. I practice yoga and follow a healthy lifestyle through balanced nutrition. In the past, I was an advanced swimmer and participated in arm wrestling competitions. These passions give me energy and balance to perform both as a coach and as a player.
